On-site pub, restaurant and micro brewery
The Keelman Pub and Restaurant is named after the former River Tyne boatmen, Immortalised in songs such as “The Keel Row” and “Cushy Butterfield”. The Keel men transported coal up and down the river. The pub, brewery, restaurant and accommodation are a mix of contemporary and historic buildings which contribute to a memorable and excellent experience.
Enjoy the relaxing ambience of our bar with our range of fine ales, brewed in the traditional way in the Big Lamp Brewery next door. Our bar and restaurant have a warm, friendly atmosphere which is enhanced by the large conservatory overlooking the patio, trees and Lodges towards the river.
